Late afternoon light through the chancel windows, a full house settling in,

and Hector Olivera at the console — one of the most sought-after concert organists working today, and a performer who has played Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and Notre-Dame in Paris.
Olivera began playing at three years old in Buenos Aires and came to the United States on a scholarship to Juilliard. Audiences tend to describe an evening with him less as a recital than as an event.
Concerts like this are why we do what we do. There is no substitute for hearing a great instrument played well, in the room it was built for.
